Detailed real-time device reporting identified key trends at Edgbaston Stadium
Edgbaston Stadium is the largest cricket stadium outside of London, with seating for approximately 25,000 spectators. The club’s ambition is to operate the most sustainable cricket stadium in the UK and to be a leaderand pioneer for sustainability in UK sport.
Edgbaston Stadium has been a client of Apogee’s for over nine years as well as an 'Official Print Partner' for the past seven years whereby Apogee supply all their print requirements.
As the clubs reputation grew and employees increased, it became clear that the club needed to implement an effective print management solution which could provide them with an element of control over their current fleet.
With the stadium sharing their office space with Compass, LSS Facilities Management, Keith Prowse, and Warwickshire Cricket Board, they were eager to find a solution which would departmentalise reporting for each business unit that were utilising the fleet.
After several conversations between Edgbaston Stadium & Apogee, both parties were eager to enhance the current fleet that was in place at their HQ. Apogee proposed that the fleet of HP machines they had in place were condensed down from 13 devices to 9.
Additionally, a PaperCut print management solution was introduced on all the devices located throughout the HQ which meant the club benefited from full visibilityover their print usage.
The reduction of HP fleet combined with PaperCut print management enabled both partners to identify key trends within the print environment as well as putting a substantial long term plan in place for overseeing their print requirements.
This provided an array of benefits, ultimately cost savings, industry expertise & knowledge, print control and supporting the clubs wider sustainability objectives, which is a key driver for them.
Apogee will continue to supportoperations at Edgbaston through the Official Print Partnership until at least 2024 providing the latest print, scan and document technology.
