Managed Print and Outsourcing Services expert Apogee were delighted to present a cheque for £2,030 to the Great Ormond Street Hospital charity last week (8th January 2020), following their successful Christmas Charity Advent Calendar.
The fundraiser encouraged Apogee employees to buy tickets for a chance to win one of the prizes hidden behind each door, with winners drawn at random each day of December up to Christmas Eve. Prizes, which included an indoor skydiving experience and a luxury hotel voucher, were donated from a number of key partners enabling all money donated to go straight to the charity, which was chosen by employees from an internal poll.
“We’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone that has donated and supported us in raising money for such a worthy cause!” said Dom Gryszan, Apogee’s Marketing Manager, “Everyone at Apogee have been fantastic supporting all our charity events throughout the year, smashing the target we set out for the Advent Calendar. We’re all very proud that we’ve been able to make a difference and we will continue to assist charities and causes close to our hearts in 2020”.
Apogee were greeted at Great Ormond Street Hospital and given a tour of the facilities, where they were able to see the areas their fundraising efforts would support. The £2030 raised by Apogee will enable GOSH to rebuild and refurbish outdated infrastructure, lead ground-breaking research into the development of new treatments, purchase the latest specialist equipment and provide accommodation and other support services for children and their families.
