Staff at Apogee are congratulating themselves on raising over £500 for Global’s Make Some Noise by completing the ‘Apogee RideNimbus 100’ at their Head Office in Maidstone last week.
Last Friday, two static bikes were set up in the office and members of staff from across the business rode an impressive 200 miles between them. In the week leading up to the fundraising event there was plenty of ‘bike banter’ as staff were able to bid for their fellow colleagues to ride up to five miles on the bike in return for a donation to the charity.
Gary Downey, Group Marketing Director at Apogee said; “As Official Print Partner to this weekend’s Prudential RideLondon we thought a cycling challenge was an appropriate way for us to raise both funds and the heart rates of our staff! Global’s Make Some Noise is a fantastic charity that supports small but brilliant charities across the UK, helping youngsters and their families living with illness, disability or lack of opportunity. It was great to see so many of our team involved in the ‘Apogee RideNimbus 100’ challenge, there has been a real buzz in the office and we have raised a fantastic amount.”
As Official Print Partner to the Prudential RideLondon, Apogee will supply the organisers with a fully managed print and document infrastructure over the weekend of Saturday 30th July and Sunday 31st July to keep the festival rolling. A team of 13 brave Apogee staff are also taking on the 100 mile RideLondon-Surrey event to raise funds for Make Some Noise.
