In just one month from today, thousands of runners will take to the London streets in the world’s favourite marathon, and Apogee staff are busy making their final preparations for the part they will play in making it another huge success. As the Official Print Partner to the Virgin Money London Marathon, Managed Services expert Apogee will provide a fully managed fleet of print and document technology for the event organisers across multiple locations in London. Working together with logistics specialist CitySprint they will also produce the official race results for distribution to the world’s press.
This year’s Virgin Money London Marathon takes place on Sunday 24th April. Apogee staff will be on site throughout the build-up week and the race weekend itself to help the organisers prepare and manage the event. A fleet of equipment will be delivered, installed and supported on-site, with Apogee engineers at every location to ensure the organisers have the resources they need for the event to run smoothly. In addition a team of Apogee and CitySprint Document Solutions specialists will be on standby to print, bind and deliver the official race results as soon as the winners cross the line and the final results are verified.
Hugh Brasher, Event Director, said “The team provided an excellent service at last year’s Virgin Money London Marathon. The planning and attention to detail were excellent, the results books looked fantastic and the Apogee team went the “extra mile” to make sure everything went according to plan. We look forward to working with them again in 2016.”
“We are very proud to once again be the Official Print Partner to such a globally recognised event” explained Gary Downey, Group Marketing Director at Apogee. “Our team really enjoys working with the marathon organisers and I’m delighted that the quality of support we provide has been recognised. CitySprint Document Solutions proved themselves to be great partners for us last year and I’m delighted they are working with us again. For major events like this, our careful planning and precise execution means we provide an infrastructure that organisers can rely upon.”
