Apogee's Forensic Technology and eDisclosure (FTE) specialists hosted the second seminar at Leeds Law Society yesterday to discuss the next steps for working towards becoming GDPR compliant, along with eDisclosure technology.
Tim Harrison, Business Development Director at Apogee FTE, delivers a powerful presentation on implementing GDPR strategies and eDisclosure technology.
The first seminar, held back in October, gave an introduction to GDPR and addressed common challenges that need to be overcome before the May 2018 deadline comes into play. Yesterday’s forum introduced eDisclosure and focused on strategies organisations can adopt to work towards regulatory compliance within eDisclosure practices.
Over 25 organisations were in attendance to learn about the impact of GDPR on eDisclosure. With a distinct crossover between tools and processes used between GDPR compliance and eDisclosure, it’s critical that organisations review their current business practices and establish strategies for working towards compliance.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new European legislation that will be introduced on 25th May 2018 and will force companies to tighten their data management processes and policies otherwise receive heavy financial penalties of up to €20 million, or 4% of global annual turnover for the preceding financial year, whichever is the greater.
Yesterday’s strategy seminar was the second of four industry focused seminars Apogee are set to deliver in conjunction with the Leeds Law Society. Information on the next upcoming seminar will be made available shortly. To register your interest, please get in touch with Apogee’s events team.
