Apogee Corporation Ltd is delighted to announce that we have completed the acquisition of Balreed Digitec Group Ltd, one of the UK's leading providers of managed services. The two organisations will merge to create the UK's largest independent Europe-wide provider of managed services for print, document and process technology.
Balreed has established a reputation for innovation in the field of managed services which will drive its turnover to over £40m this year. Balreed provides print and document hardware and software from multiple manufacturers including Ricoh, Konica Minolta, Kyocera and Xerox, many of whom are also supplier partners of Apogee, and are a major managed service provider in the office and production print sectors.
Robin Stanton-Gleaves and Gary Downey, both of Balreed, will join the Apogee Board as Joint CEO and Group Marketing Director respectively, working alongside Joint CEO Jason Collins and the other Apogee Board members in the new expanded group. Barry Ferdinand will take a new Non Exec Director role.
Jason Collins, Apogee Joint CEO said “This is a very exciting acquisition for Apogee, and is a significant development in our growth plans. Balreed is an excellent business with a trusted name throughout the UK. We are delighted to bring their clients and staff into the Apogee group and are very much looking forward to leveraging the synergies and best of breed from both organisations. This acquisition gives Apogee a run rate turnover of over £150m.”
Robin Stanton-Gleaves, Joint CEO added “The two organisations share many values and a commitment to delivering superior levels of service. The pro-active managed services we have developed will remain a key focus for the new enlarged Apogee group, playing a critical role in our future growth, and giving us the scale and reach to become the number one independent choice for managed services in the UK and across Europe.”
Apogee Corporation has a long history as an organisation demonstrating exponential growth both organically and through acquisition, having completed 20-plus acquisitions to date. This latest acquisition further demonstrates the commitment to sustaining growth in the UK and Europe and this strategy will continue.
