Sales Operations Analyst (Witham St Hughs, Lincoln)

This role will have two primary responsibilities; the first is the management and development of the organisation’s CRM system alongside supporting users of the system and maintaining the integrity of the information, in line with achieving the national sales and improvement strategies.

The second is the production of MI and Exec reporting to assist the Head of Improvement and Chief Sales Officer in the growth of understanding activity, opportunity and ultimately profitability within the sales, marketing, lead generation, bid and retention arenas.


  • Administration of prospect and client accounts in our CRM system and the periodic transfer of these between salespeople or territories
  • Ensuring the CRM system is up to date and accurately reflects the current status of the client base and sales pipeline
  • Administration of system users, exception reporting and query resolution
  • Support the monitoring and qualification of generated leads and conversion rates etc. from across the business
  • Identifying ways to support the enhancement of the CRM system and create procedures to maximise CRM data and minimise time required to update
  • Pro-actively produce reports and information to sales managers assessing activity, opportunity and pipeline at an individual salesperson level, by team or by division
  • Supporting the marketing department in proving beneficial ROI from marketing and client acquisition activities
  • Working alongside the Lead Generation department to capture and monitor new business opportunities alongside the business KPI’s associated with their generation
  • Root cause analysis of the information collected on retention through our settlement case management function as a basis of which to make recommendations to the business for internal improvement in assisting with improving retention
  • Discover ways to automate and industrialise the organisation’s management and business information platforms
  • Use a business partner approach to assist the Chief Sales Officer, Group Marketing Director, Lead Generation Manager, Service Settlements Manager and Head of Bid in driving improvement and efficiency in all areas of the client acquisition and retention arenas

Person Specification:

This role is expansive and will see the individual engaged with multiple key business leaders, supporting the Head of Improvement in driving internal efficiencies whilst maintaining a matrix relationship to the Chief Sales Officer to provide a business partner approach in delivering the national sales strategy. The individual will become an integral part of the organisation’s year on year sales growth and thus should be looking to thrive in the high drive, high intensity workplace that Apogee provides.
