The purpose of this role is the creation of compelling responses to use in pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQ), and invitations to tender (ITT). This is achieved by liaising with staff across all departments of the business, ensuring that the content clearly articulates Apogee’s value proposition.

Responsibilities:

  • Assume primary responsibility for producing written responses and content, whilst working alongside the Bid Manager(s) develop a bid structure, setting timescales for tender responses, and ensuring internal deadlines are met (escalating issues as required).
  • Work alongside the Bid Manager(s) to drive the overall bid strategy and identity win themes / USPs of our approach.
  • Support the storyboarding sessions with PQQ / ITT team members, working alongside the Bid Manager to ensure that all storyboards are reviewed.
  • Leading PQQ and ITT submissions from a written perspective, particularly with regard to producing first drafts, incorporating critiques of draft responses, proof reading and copy editing.
  • Translate complex technical & bespoke material from various sources into concise, easily understandable, organised, one-voice styled content.
  • Be able to edit and proof read all documentation prior to submission, ensuring the bid documentation is formatted, collated and presented in a professional manner.
  • Successfully work on multiple PQQs and ITTs simultaneously in a high-paced environment, often with a short turnaround time for submissions.
  • Proactively develop and manage a network of subject matter experts throughout the business and industry.

Person Specification:

  • The successful candidate will come from a bid writing background, ideally in the managed services sector, however all bid professionals are encouraged to apply.
  • Full knowledge of the bid lifecycle from tracking of OJEU notices to PQQ, tender and post tender interviews / presentations.
  • Extensive experience and proven expertise in the production of compelling, compliant, and responsive tender responses, on time and budget.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to influence and negotiate with people at mid-levels within Apogee and customer organisations.
