Assistant Management Accountant (Maidstone)

Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, you will be part of the management accounts team, responsible for assisting with the production of the group management accounts and other management information.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the production of the group’s management accounts and other key management information
  • Providing variance analysis of the monthly management accounts
  • Posting and reconciling of Intercompany transactions and balances
  • Reconciling and monitoring key funder accounts including reporting to external funders
  • Other balance sheet & profit and loss reconciliations and nominal ledger maintenance
  • Driving improvements and efficiencies within the management accounts processes
  • Assisting the Management Accountants with the preparation of year-end statutory financial statements
  • Ad hoc reporting, analysis and commission statement production
  • Proactively managing workload to ensure all deadlines are met within month-end timetable.

Person Specification:

  • Part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
  • Relevant work experience within a similar industry
  • Good analytical and IT skills
  • Advanced Excel skills along with proficiency in Word
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written)
  • Excellent attention to detail, and comfortable with dealing with large bodies of data.
