Jason Collins – Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Jason Collins is one of the founding directors of Apogee Corporation. With decades of experience in the office solutions industry under his belt, he has been key to securing many of Apogee’s largest clients. A constant promoter of excellent customer service, Jason firmly believes it is Apogee’s dedication to its clients that has put it so consistently ahead of the competition.
A former finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards, Jason has been instrumental to the extraordinary growth Apogee has achieved to date. Now one of the foremost independent suppliers of Managed Services and digital document technology in the UK and Europe, his strong vision will continue to lead Apogee into the future.
As a big advocate of giving something back to the community in which Apogee does business, Jason is involved in a huge number of community and charity projects, including schemes supporting The NSPCC, Scope and Global’s Make Some Noise.
Robin Stanton-Gleaves – Chief Executive Officer
Robin is the Joint Chief Executive Officer and has more than 25 years of experience within the print technology industry, starting his career as a sales person in London and progressing to be the owner and MD of a £40m+ nationwide business prior to joining Apogee as Joint CEO. His work ethics, his focus on clients and his management skills have allowed his career to progress.
Today at Apogee he has the pleasure of working with a Board of Directors who share the same business ethics, which is what drives Apogee forward. He founded Balreed Digitec and led the business as it developed from an initial start-up to a nationwide managed services provider with a turnover of £40m+. The core principles of innovation and quality of service helped it establish a reputation as a premium MS provider and it was this that led to Apogee Corporation acquiring the Balreed business in August of 2015.
Martin Randall – Group Finance Director
Martin Randall has spent his working life at the financial helm of numerous big name companies, being a central part of their development. Before joining Apogee, Martin spent 10 years at Alphameric Plc, a leading software solutions provider for many high street retailers. In the positions of Operational Finance Director and Group Finance Director he guided the business through a period of intense transformation and growth.
Martin previously helped set-up Orbis Plc as its Group Finance Director, and worked for two in years as the CFO of Hartstone’s U.S. businesses in New York. A qualified chartered accountant, Martin boasts a wealth of experience in growing group companies through a combination of organic and acquisitive expansion. His impressive background makes him the ideal person to drive Apogee’s continued financial growth and business development.
Gary Downey – Group Marketing Director
Gary is the Group Marketing Director of Apogee Corporation Ltd, responsible for all marketing strategies and activities across the Apogee Group. Before joining Apogee he was the Marketing Director of the Balreed Group which grew and evolved into an industry-leading managed services provider until the acquisition by Apogee in August 2015.
Prior to Balreed, Gary was Marketing Director at global office solutions company IKON where he led the organisation’s Marketing activities in the UK and Europe from the launch of the company in 1996 until its global acquisition by Ricoh. Prior to this role Gary held Marketing positions in retail and property organisations. Gary holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Economics from Newcastle University and a post-graduate Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Graham Thomas – Group Operations Director
Graham Thomas has two decades of experience leading business operations, complimented by his MBA in Business Administration. Prior to joining Apogee Corporation, Graham Thomas successfully held senior roles in numerous technology driven businesses. His CV includes instrumental positions in everything from small start-ups to corporate multinationals and in a long and successful career, Graham has held positions at companies such as PPR Solutions and A Novo in the UK and Smart Call in Spain.
With a core focus on improving service delivery and operational effectiveness, his responsibilities include engineering and service operations, logistics and distribution and customer service. Behind all of Graham’s decisions is a belief that cost competitiveness must be supported by exceptional customer service if it is to truly put you ahead of the game.
James Clark (ACMA, CGMA) – Group Finance Director & CFO
James Clark is the Group Finance Director and CFO at Apogee Corporation. He is a commercially focused Finance Leader with International and Multi-Industry experience.
An accomplished, commercially astute and hands-on member of the Board of Directors, James brings significant expertise in developing and managing all financial aspects of company strategy to drive growth and enhance profitability.
Phil Holvey – Chief Sales Officer
Phil Holvey is an influential and accomplished business leader, with a proven track record of producing sales excellence in the most demanding of organisations and economic conditions.
Innovative, with the commercial acumen to deliver both organic and aquisitional growth through the implementation of sales strategies and initiatives that harness the power of a collective vision, backed by solid disciplines and the management of focussed KPIs.
Simon Green – Group IT Director
Dynamic and results oriented, Simon Green is MBA educated and takes a strategic approach to successful IS transformation, delivering ‘cost appropriate’ and ‘value creating’ ICT solutions.
Simon has helped transform businesses by building high-performance teams, managing people through change and making complex IT understandable and actionable.
Mark Smyth – Chief Operating Officer
Mark Smyth has a career that spans over 3 decades in senior leadership within the technology and managed services sectors. Mark has a defined obsession for exceptional service and operational excellence, combined with leadership that motivates and empowers people to achieve their goals and outstanding results.
Previously the National Operations Director for Ricoh UK and Ireland where Mark spearheaded significant growth and organisational integration of several acquisitions. Prior to Ricoh UK, Mark was the National Operations Director and Customer Services Director for IKON Office Solutions, one of the world’s largest independent value-added resellers.
Mark is dedicated to giving back and is an avid supporter of charity – specifically Teens Unite that helps youngsters with life limiting illnesses and The Princess Trust, helping young people create a brighter future. Mark has taken part in numerous charity events, fund raising and volunteering for truly great causes and community programs.
