Giving Back To The Community - 06/08/2009

The importance of corporate social reasonability is not lost on Apogee and as such we are always involved in a number of local and nationwide projects to assist our communities wherever we can. This month we are delighted to announce developments in two such projects.

Linden Lodge is a Wimbledon based specialist SEN sensory physical college providing a high quality educational experience and support for pupils with a visual impairment or multi-disabled visual impairment which affects their access to learning. The school also supports pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties. Linden Lodge has won acclaim as a specialist regional resource and caters for children aged 3 to 19.

Apogee have long since enjoyed a close relationship with the school and thanks to our latest fundraising efforts Linden Lodge now have the funding in place to build a new centre within the School's grounds to cater for their very specific needs. Work is due to begin on the new centre in October '09 and we are honoured to announce the School have kindly decided to name the new development The Apogee Centre.

Apogee believes Linden Lodge to be a jewel in the education system's crown offering real opportunities to those who might otherwise be left behind and is a real cause close to our heart.

Apogee are also pleased to announce their continued sponsorship of Bognor Regis Town Football Club, known by many as The Rocks. After a difficult season The Rocks are looking forward to stepping back on to the hallowed turf of Nyewood Lane in the winter months to show their loyal fans that they're back and they mean business!

The Rocks are just one of many sporting initiatives that Apogee Corporation is involved in as part of our commitment to giving back to the local community. Our Southern Region office is based in Westergate just 5 miles from the ground and as such BRTFC were an ideal choice. We will continue to support Bognor Regis Town FC through the 2009/10 season and wish them every success.
