Copiers with Driverless Printing Capabilities - 08/05/2009

Most businesses have faced a situation whereby a visitor to a site has a "sudden" need to print to one of the digital photocopiers or printers within the organisations network and a hasty driver installation has been required. Traditionally a request to the IT department would have been the next step in this process however with advances in digital photocopier / printer firmware being applied to our new range of devices users will be able to print to a digital photocopier, printer or multi-functional device without the need to ever install a print driver.

The new breed of devices will allow users to email their document as an email attachment direct to the photocopier or printer's specific email address. The device will then produce the print as required. If the user wants to utilise some of the more advanced finishing features of the photocopier or printer then the users will be able to access a web page embedded within the device and submit their document, complete with their desired finishing options via a familiar web browser interface.

The driver-less printing features of our new range of digital photocopiers, multi-functional devices and printers bring truly flexible printing to real world situations. The new driver-less printing digital photocopiers and printers are due for release this summer so watch this space!
