As Official Print Partner to the Virgin Money London Marathon, Apogee was allocated ten running places in this event. The team, made up of experienced marathon runners and some first timers, have collectively raised over £4,800 for charity.
Among the good causes to benefit from their efforts are Macmillan Cancer Support, the British Heart Foundation, Diabetes UK, Help for Heroes and The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
The biggest individual sum was £1735 raised by Apogee’s Digital Marketing Executive, Dom Gryszan who undertook his first marathon to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. “I was delighted to be awarded one of the Apogee running places. The London Marathon was by far my best and most challenging experience to date. It was hard work but certainly an experience I will never forget. The total amount raised was well in excess of my original target of £1,000 and I am overwhelmed by my sponsors’ generosity.”
