A team of 13 brave Apogee staff took on the 100 mile Prudential RideLondon event yesterday and raised over £11,000 for Global’s Make Some Noise and the charities they support across the UK.
Part of the Prudential RideLondon festival of cycling, the RideLondon-Surrey 100 took place on Sunday 31st July and was a huge challenge for the Apogee riders. The race started in the Olympic Park and followed a 100-mile route on closed roads and up some very steep climbs across the Surrey countryside before the welcome sight of the finish line on The Mall.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to say a huge well done to the Apogee team for completing RideLondon last weekend! We are so grateful for your support and appreciate all the hard work that goes into such a demanding challenge. The money raised will help support youngsters and their families living with illness, disability or lack of opportunity all around the UK – thank you Apogee” commented Jo Hamilton, Partnerships Manager at Global’s Make Some Noise.
Gary Downey, Group Marketing Director at Apogee said: “Global’s Make Some Noise charity inspired us at Apogee to get involved and raise money because it supports so many brilliant charities across the UK which are operating on a shoestring. I would like to congratulate the riders on conquering the 100-mile course this weekend and thank everyone who has sponsored the team and raised a fantastic amount for a brilliant charity.”
