DIGITAL PHOTOCOPIER
Possibly the most common form of digital document solution hardware the digital photocopier (also sometimes known as MFP, multi-functional photocopier, multifunctional product, MFD etc) is the current and most likely final form of the age old photo static photocopier invented in the early 1950’s.
The hardware is basically made up of a high quality digital scanner that feeds a printer unit of some description, typically using laser printing technology.
Digital photocopiers have come a long way in the last 5 years with the addition of powerful internal computers, known in the industry as network print controllers, the devices now have the necessary processing power to achieve advance scanning, document routing and print management functions.
Apogee digital document solutions, managed print solutions and all encompassing print strategy solutions utilise the advanced feature set of modern digital photocopiers to form the hardware element of our innovative digital document workflow solutions.
