Alan Pierpoint

In November 1987 Alan Pierpoint joined the then so-called East Central Group of Companies as head of the newly formed legal department. Alan was appointed Secretary of the various Group Companies in October 1989 and then as Director of the Holding Company, East Central Group PLC, in 1991. Alan was part of the successful management team which helped the Group expand, both organically and through acquisitions, to achieve a turnover approaching £30m in 1999 before assisting in the transaction which led to a management buy-out.

Alan remained with the East Central Group, which proceeded to change its name to City Business Group, until Apogee acquired its custom in March 2006. He then commenced working for Apogee as Head of Legal Affairs and was appointed as Secretary of Apogee Corporation in May 2007.

Alan has a wealth of experience, both in private practice and public commerce, but still enjoys the cut-and-thrust world of court work and contractual disputes. He is responsible for all company legal and secretarial matters and will frequently become involved in matters concerning employment, acquisitions and properties.
